Conduct may be considered harassment even if individual messages appear minor when viewed separately but form part of a repeated pattern of behaviour.

---

# 5. Hate Speech and Discrimination

Gritora does not permit content or behaviour that promotes hatred, dehumanisation, exclusion, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on protected or personal characteristics.

This may include characteristics such as:

* race;
* ethnicity;
* nationality;
* religion;
* caste;
* disability;
* sex;
* gender;
* gender identity;

* other characteristics protected under applicable law.

Users must not:

* promote hatred toward protected groups;

Educational discussion of discrimination, history, law, social issues, or similar topics may be permitted when presented in an appropriate learning context.

# 6. Threats, Violence, and Dangerous Behaviour

Users must not use Gritora to threaten, promote, glorify, encourage, or coordinate violence or serious physical harm.

Prohibited conduct includes:

* credible threats against another person;
* threats of physical violence;
* encouraging others to harm someone;
* instructions intended to facilitate violent wrongdoing;
* celebrating real-world acts of serious violence in a manner that encourages further harm; or
* using Gritora to organise violent or dangerous activity.

Where we reasonably believe there is an imminent risk of serious harm, Gritora may take immediate protective action and may cooperate with appropriate authorities where legally required or permitted.

---

# 7. Sexual and Inappropriate Content

Gritora is a learning platform and is not intended for sexually explicit content.

Users must not publish, request, distribute, or promote:

Additional and stricter requirements apply to content involving children.

---

# 8. Child Safety

The safety of children is a fundamental priority for Gritora.

* child sexual abuse material;
* sexual exploitation of children;

* attempts to move a child to another platform or communication channel for exploitative or inappropriate purposes.

Users must also not encourage children to disclose sensitive personal information or engage in unsafe offline contact.

Potential violations involving child sexual abuse or exploitation may result in immediate account action and may be reported to appropriate organisations or authorities where required or permitted by applicable law.

For further information, please review the **Gritora Child Safety Standards**.

---

# 9. Personal Information and Doxxing

Users must respect the privacy of others.

You must not disclose another person's private or sensitive information without appropriate authority or consent.

This may include:

* home addresses;
* private telephone numbers;
* personal email addresses;
* passwords or authentication credentials;
* financial information;
* government identification information;
* confidential employment or educational information;
* precise private location information;

* other information that could reasonably expose someone to harm, harassment, fraud, or unwanted contact.

Publishing someone's private information with the intention of intimidating, threatening, or facilitating harassment is prohibited.

Users should also exercise care before publishing their **own** personal information.

---

# 10. Impersonation and Fake Accounts

Users must represent themselves honestly.

You must not:

* impersonate another individual;
* impersonate Gritora employees, moderators, administrators, or representatives;
* falsely claim affiliation with an organisation;
* create an account designed to deceive others about your identity;
* use another person's photograph or identity deceptively; or
* create misleading profiles intended to commit fraud, harassment, or manipulation.

Parody or clearly fictional accounts may be treated differently where they cannot reasonably be mistaken for the person or organisation they reference.

---

# 11. Spam and Misleading Content

Gritora must not be used for spam or deceptive activity.

Users must not:

* repeatedly post the same or substantially similar content;
* send unsolicited promotional messages;
* post irrelevant advertising;
* distribute misleading links;
* artificially generate engagement;
* publish deliberately deceptive information intended to manipulate users;
* use automated systems to flood the platform; or
* interfere with normal community participation.

Gritora may limit, remove, or restrict content or accounts associated with coordinated spam activity.

---

# 12. Scams, Fraud, and Deceptive Practices

Users must not use Gritora to deceive or financially exploit others.

Prohibited activity includes:

* fraudulent offers;
* phishing;
* identity theft;
* requests for passwords, OTPs, authentication codes, or financial credentials;
* fake investment or employment schemes;
* fraudulent competitions or rewards;
* advance-fee scams;
* deceptive payment requests; or
* attempts to redirect users to fraudulent websites or services.

Never provide passwords, OTP codes, or other authentication credentials to another user.

---

# 13. Intellectual Property

Users must respect copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights.

You should only upload, reproduce, publish, or distribute content that:

* you created;
* you have permission to use;
* is licensed for your intended use; or
* may otherwise lawfully be used.

Users must not deliberately reproduce or distribute copyrighted examinations, textbooks, proprietary question banks, paid course materials, or other protected learning resources without appropriate permission.

Where appropriate, Gritora may remove material that is alleged or determined to infringe intellectual property rights.

Repeated infringement may result in account restrictions or termination.

---

# 14. Academic Integrity and Responsible Learning

Gritora is intended to support learning, practice, and self-evaluation.

Users must not misuse Gritora to facilitate academic dishonesty.

Prohibited conduct may include:

* sharing confidential examination questions obtained improperly;
* distributing leaked examination materials;
* helping another person impersonate a candidate;
* using Gritora to coordinate cheating;
* obtaining answers during an examination where external assistance is prohibited; or
* deliberately misrepresenting another person's work as one's own.

Gritora may provide educational explanations, practice questions, and learning assistance. Users remain responsible for complying with the academic integrity rules of their schools, universities, professional bodies, employers, certification providers, and examination organisations.

---

# 15. Points, Scores, Rankings, and Leaderboards

Gritora may provide points, scores, achievements, rankings, leaderboards, streaks, badges, or similar features.

These systems are intended to encourage legitimate learning activity.

Users must not artificially manipulate them.

Prohibited behaviour includes:

* exploiting technical vulnerabilities to increase scores;
* using bots, scripts, automation, or unauthorised software;
* deliberately manipulating quiz attempts;
* exchanging answers for the purpose of artificially improving rankings;
* exploiting bugs or unintended application behaviour;
* coordinating with other accounts to manipulate results; or
* otherwise creating artificial progress or engagement.

Gritora may correct, remove, recalculate, invalidate, or reset points, scores, achievements, or leaderboard positions that we reasonably believe were obtained improperly.

---

# 16. Multiple Accounts and Platform Manipulation

Creating or controlling multiple accounts for the purpose of manipulating Gritora is prohibited.

This includes using multiple accounts to:

* increase points or scores;
* manipulate rankings;
* evade suspensions or restrictions;
* repeatedly harass another user;
* manipulate engagement;
* make fraudulent reports;
* misrepresent community support; or
* circumvent platform limitations.

Gritora may investigate apparently coordinated accounts and take action against related accounts where appropriate.

---

# 17. Usernames, Profiles, and Profile Information

Usernames, profile photographs, biographies, and other profile information must comply with these Community Guidelines.

Profiles must not contain:

* hateful or discriminatory expressions;
* sexually explicit material;
* threats;
* harassment;
* impersonation;
* deliberately deceptive identity information;
* personal information belonging to another person;
* fraudulent contact information;
* inappropriate references involving children;
* spam; or
* other content prohibited by these Guidelines.

Gritora may require a user to change profile information or may remove inappropriate profile content.

---

# 18. Reporting Content and Users

We encourage users to report content or behaviour that appears to violate these Community Guidelines.

Where reporting functionality is available, users may report inappropriate content or another user directly through Gritora.

Reports may be reviewed using available information such as:

* the reported content;
* associated account information;
* relevant interactions;
* previous violations;
* technical or security information;
* the context in which the activity occurred; and
* other information reasonably necessary to investigate the report.

Submitting a report does not automatically mean that a violation has occurred.

Reports should be made in good faith.

Knowingly submitting false, malicious, or repetitive reports to harass another user may itself violate these Community Guidelines.

---

# 19. Blocking Users

Where blocking functionality is available, users may block another user to restrict unwanted interaction.

Depending on the relevant feature, blocking may prevent or limit the blocked user from interacting with, contacting, following, or otherwise engaging with the blocking user.

Users must not create additional accounts or use other techniques to bypass a block.

---

# 20. Content Moderation

Gritora may use a combination of:

* user reports;
* automated systems;
* technical controls;
* platform signals; and
* human review

to identify potential violations of these Community Guidelines.

Moderation decisions may consider the nature, seriousness, frequency, and context of the activity.

Not every report will result in removal or enforcement action. Content that is controversial, critical, unpopular, or disagreed with does not necessarily violate these Guidelines.

We may also limit the visibility or functionality of content while a potential violation is being reviewed where appropriate.

---

# 21. Enforcement

When a user violates these Community Guidelines, Gritora may take action proportionate to the nature and seriousness of the violation.

Possible actions may include:

1. providing a warning;
2. removing or restricting content;
3. requiring profile information to be changed;
4. limiting particular platform features;
5. removing points, achievements, or leaderboard rankings;
6. temporarily restricting account activity;
7. temporarily suspending an account;
8. permanently terminating an account; or
9. taking other reasonable measures necessary to protect users or the platform.

Gritora is not required to apply these measures in this particular order.

Serious violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without a prior warning.

---

# 22. Serious or Repeated Violations

Gritora may take stronger enforcement action where violations are serious, repeated, coordinated, deceptive, or present a significant safety risk.

Examples may include:

* child sexual exploitation or abuse;
* credible threats of violence;
* serious harassment;
* fraud;
* deliberate privacy violations;
* repeated hate speech;
* repeated intellectual property infringement;
* coordinated platform manipulation;
* attempting to evade previous enforcement actions; or
* illegal conduct involving Gritora.

Repeated lower-level violations may also result in permanent account restrictions or termination.

---

# 23. Circumventing Enforcement

Users must not attempt to bypass restrictions imposed by Gritora.

This includes:

* creating replacement accounts after suspension or termination;
* using another person's account;
* changing account information to avoid detection;
* using automation or technical measures to circumvent restrictions; or
* asking another user to perform prohibited actions on your behalf.

Attempts to evade enforcement may result in additional accounts being restricted or terminated.

---

# 24. Appeals and Reviews

Where Gritora provides an appeal or review mechanism, users may request a review of eligible moderation decisions.

An appeal does not guarantee that a decision will be reversed.

When reviewing an appeal, Gritora may consider:

* the original content or activity;
* the reason for the enforcement action;
* additional context provided by the user;
* previous account behaviour;
* safety considerations; and
* applicable policies and legal obligations.

Some actions involving urgent safety risks, legal requirements, fraudulent activity, or severe violations may be subject to limited review.

---

# 25. Illegal Activity and Cooperation With Authorities

Gritora must not be used to conduct, encourage, organise, facilitate, or conceal illegal activity.

Where legally required or otherwise permitted by applicable law, Gritora may:

* preserve relevant records;
* respond to valid legal requests;
* cooperate with courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, or other competent authorities; and
* disclose information where necessary to comply with legal obligations or address an emergency involving a risk of death or serious physical harm.

Any disclosure of personal information will also be handled in accordance with our **Privacy Policy** and applicable law.

---

# 26. Protecting the Platform

Users must not intentionally interfere with the operation, security, integrity, or availability of Gritora.

This includes attempting to:

* gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems;
* discover or exploit vulnerabilities for malicious purposes;
* bypass authentication or security mechanisms;
* distribute malware;
* scrape or harvest information through unauthorised means;
* disrupt Gritora's infrastructure;
* manipulate platform functionality; or
* access data that the user is not authorised to access.

Users who discover a potential security vulnerability should report it responsibly rather than exploiting it.

---

# 27. Context Matters

When reviewing potential violations, Gritora may consider context.

Content that might otherwise appear problematic may sometimes be permitted when reasonably necessary for:

* education;
* awareness;
* news or documentary discussion;
* scientific or historical discussion;
* prevention of harm;
* reporting misconduct; or
* legitimate criticism.

However, claiming educational, humorous, satirical, or other intent does not automatically make prohibited content acceptable.

Safety remains the primary consideration.

---

# 28. Changes to These Guidelines

Gritora may update these Community Guidelines as the platform, its features, applicable laws, safety standards, or community needs evolve.

When material changes are made, we may provide notice through the application, website, or another appropriate method.

The effective or last-updated date at the beginning of this document indicates the latest published version.

Continued use of Gritora following an applicable update means that users remain responsible for complying with the current Community Guidelines.

---

# 29. Relationship With Other Gritora Policies

These Community Guidelines should be read together with Gritora's other policies, including:

* **Terms and Conditions**
* **Privacy Policy**
* **Child Safety Standards**

If certain behaviour also violates another Gritora policy, enforcement may be taken under one or more applicable policies.

Nothing in these Community Guidelines limits any rights or obligations established under applicable law.

---

# 30. Contact and Support

If you need assistance regarding:

* inappropriate content;
* harassment or abuse;
* account safety;
* privacy concerns;
* child safety concerns;
* moderation decisions; or
* other Community Guidelines matters,

please use the **reporting, Contact, or Support options provided within Gritora or through Gritora's official support channels**.

For situations involving an immediate threat to someone's physical safety, users should contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement services.

---

# 31. Our Commitment

Gritora is built around learning, improvement, and constructive participation.

We believe users should be able to learn, practise, compete, and interact without being subjected to harassment, exploitation, deception, discrimination, or unsafe behaviour.

Every member of the Gritora community contributes to maintaining that environment.

**Learn respectfully. Compete fairly. Protect others. Help keep Gritora safe.**
